Kidnapped Wife Of NSCDC’s Intelliegence Officer Rescued In Nasarawa

Victoria Dandaura, wife of the head of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Commandant General’s Special Intelligence Squad (CG’SSIS), Appollos Dandaura, has been rescued, NSCDC’s head of communication, Segun Odumosu, said Friday.

Our correspodent gathered the victim was rescued Friday at about 9:20 pm in a village in Lafia Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

The release of the victim was contained in a statement by NSCDC spokesman’s Olusola Odumosu.

Mrs Dandaura was kidnapped from her residence in Gidi-Gidi area of Lafia, Nasarawa State, on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. by unknown gunmen.

Odumosu said, “She was rescued unhurt after a successful joint operation by a combined tactical team comprising men of NSCDC CG’SSIS, NSCDC Counter Terrorism Operatives (CTU) and NSCDC Special Female Squad (SFS.”

The NSCDC spokesman, however, said that ASC1 Ezekiel Dandaura, younger brother to the head of CG’SSIS who sustained gunshot injuries during the attack, is still receiving medical treatment. He however said he is stable.
