Frank Mba Now In-Charge Of Border Patrol As IGP Posts 7 CPs

Inspector-General of Police Usman Alkali Baba, Friday, ordered the posting of seven police commissioners to various commands and formations across the country.

The Force spokesperson, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said the posting was sequel to the recent completion of the Senior Executive Course 44 at the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) where many Nigeria Police officers graduated.

In the posting, former Force PRO Frank Mba is now in-charge of Border Patrol Force, Force Headquarters, Abuja. Others are CP Sadiq Abubakar, who is now FCT commissioner of police; CP Arungwa N. Udo, CP DFA Force Intelligence Bureau, Force Headquarters; CP Bardaru B. Lawal, CP General Investigations, Force Criminal Investigations Department Annex, Kaduna; CP Suleiman A. Yusuf, CP Admin, Research and Planning, Force Headquarters, Abuja; CP Ebong E. Ebong, CP Admin DFA, Force Headquarters, Abuja; and CP Babaji Sunday to Commandant, Police College Maiduguri.

According to the Force PRO, CP Sadiq Abubakar, the new commissioner of police in-charge of the Federal Capital Territory was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) in 1992 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police. He was the commissioner of police, Peacekeeping Operations and Coordinator Police Special Forces, before his nomination for the Senior Executive Course at the National Institute between February and December 2022.

CP Frank Mba, the new Commissioner of Police in-charge of the Border Patrol Force, Force Headquarters, Abuja, hails from Ezimo, Udenu Local Government Area of Enugu State. A Masters’ Degree holder in Law, he enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) in 1992. He was the Force Public Relations Officer before his nomination for the Senior Executive Course at the National Institute between February and December 2022.

IGP, according to the Force PRO, charged the newly posted officers to be diligent in the discharge of their duties, especially in crime-fighting, public cooperation, and safety.

The IGP solicited support from members of the public to the new police commissioners to enable them to perform their duties optimally.
