Nigerian dancehall artiste, song writer and music producer Inetimi Alfred Timaya Odon has admonished Nigerian musicians that lost out in the recent concluded Grammy award held in Los Angeles, USA, to accept defeat in good fate and forge ahead with their God given talents to improve the lives of people.

The Egberi Papa 1 of Bayalsa disclosed this in a statement on Friday.

The Nigerian artistes that particated in the Grammy include Ayra Star, Ashake, Davido and Burna Boy.

Timaya described the outcome of the award as ‘a common phenomenon’. Quoting him, “It is a normal thing. We should not complain. I don’t like awards but rewards. Award is an accolade given to artistes by the people that put them together but reward is a great prize artistes enjoy from people that appreciate their talent.”

A 22-year-old South African music celebrity, Tyla, clinched the Grammy award 2024.

Timaya, who is best known for dropping great hits like Dem Mama, Plantation Boy, said he would soon drop a video entitled “De your de” from his proposed album gladiator.

He also congratulated the Super Eagles on their victory against their South African counterparts in the ongoing AFCON.
