The need for the public to download and utilize the newly launched FRSC mobile app has been stressed.
The zonal commanding officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps, RS4HQ Jos, Corps Commander AA Irelewuyi, stressed the importance on Wednesday in Lafia during his quarterly tour of the Nasarawa Sector Command.
CC Irelewuyi said the app was initiated to enhance operational efficiency and communication. He also urged the operatives to constantly apply emotional intelligence in their dealings for effective working environment.
He cautioned staff members against practices that could tarnish the corps’ reputation, urging everyone to remain safety-conscious while performing their duties to prevent accidents and ensure their well-being.
CC Irelewuyi also discussed the importance of adhering to the corps marshal’s policy of trust and integrity, emphasizing that it was fundamental to the corps’ mission and public perception.
He praised the sector commander, CC Lucie Samuel-Mhii, for her sterling work in Nasarawa State, and reiterated the corps marshal’s strategic vision for improving the corps and enhancing staff welfare.
CC Samuel-Mhii, in an address, said the zonal commander’s visit “symbolized a homecoming for him given his role in the establishment of the Nasarawa Sector Command”. She attributed the staff members’ renewed dedication to duties to the motivational influence of the corps marshal and the exemplary leadership of the zonal commander.
The zonal commander used the visit to inspect some facilities of the command, including the damage caused by a recent heavy rainfall which affecting a block of buildings.
