Abba Kyari’s Co-Defendants Sentenced To 2 Years In Prison

An Abuja Federal High Court, Tuesday, convicted two co-defendants in a suit filed by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) against suspended DCP Abba Kyari over an alleged drug deal. The convicts were therefore sentenced to two years in prison.

The convicts are Chibunna Umeibe, and Emeka Ezenwanne, who are 6th and 7th defendants. The judgement was delivered by Justice Emeka Nwite. Justice Nwite said the duo admitted committing the offences preferred against them in counts 5, 6, and 7 by the anti-narcotic agency.

The terms will run concurrently, and began on the day they were arrested by the operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency.
