Rev Fr Ejike Mbaka, the spiritual director, Adoration Ministry, Enugu, was Thursday berated for prophesying that Mr Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, will lose at the polls for being ‘stingy’.
Most of the commentators on a Facebook post described Mbaka as acting beyond his religious callings. They alleged that his prediction that President Muhammadu Buhari would be Nigeria’s saviour did not come to fruition. Muhammed Abdulkadir wrote, “I’m a member of the Stingy Association of Nigeria, so I wish Peter Obi should win please, for the progress of our great country…. NIGERIA.

Be OBIdient.”In the opinion of Atiche Steven, “Father Mbaka is just doing this to attract APC and PDP presidential candidates to visit him and donate money in adoration. The youths need to be wise.
“According to Amali Patience, “I don’t know why I suddenly developed love for stingy people…Fr Mbaka, go and rest. I don’t know if God really called you, abi na you call God sef. #VoteWisely”Helen Peters wrote, “It takes a begger to know a stingy man.
Mbaka, you go soon collect better beating from the youths wotowoto. “Don’t use because of your selfish interest to put us in another mess like you did past years ago. You are only doing this because whether this country is good or not, it won’t affect you because people must be sowing seeds with millions of naira in your adoration. “Fr Mbaka fell apart with Mr Obi in the buildup to the 2019 general elections when Mbaka accused Obi of being ‘stingy’.
Obi had refused to make public his intended donation during a harvest and bazaar at Mbaka’s adoration ground.
