Barr Ifeanyi Ossai was Sunday announced as the running mate of the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Enugu State.
Barr Peter Mba, the guber candidate of the PDP, announced Barr Ossai as his running mate during a press conference in Enugu.
Barr Ossai, an Abuja-based lawyer, hails from Ezimo, Udenu local government area of the state.
He attended Ezimo High School, Ezimo Agu, where he was the school’s senior prefect following his academic and administrative savvy.
Barr Ossai later attended the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where he read law.
His master’s degree took him to the University of Essex, United Kingdom.
Mr Christopher Okoro, chairman of Amaogu Solidarity Union, Enugu, described Barr Ossai as a square peg in a square hole.
He said, “I thank Gov Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Barr Peter Mba, and the state PDP for finding our son credible for this position.
“Barr Ossai is an epitome of charity, justice and fairness. He is the voice of the voiceless. I urge Enugu electorate to support the candidature of Barr Mba through their power of voting. Barr Mba and Barr Ossai will consolidate the records of the incumbent governor, Chief Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
“Barr Ossai will use his wealth of experience to drive the dreams and manifestoes of Barr Mba and the PDP to fruition. This is the moment for Ndi Enugu to consolidate.”
