Urukpa Ezimo, the countryhome of Barr Ifeanyi Ossai, is agog since his announcement as the running mate of the PDP gubernatorial candidate in Enugu State.
Barr Ossai was Sunday announced the running mate by Barr Peter Mba, the PDP guber candidate in the 2023 general elections.
Since then, Urukpa has become a beehive of activities as the natives see his emergence as the handiwork of God Almighty.
Mr James Onah, the chairman of Urukpa Brothers’ Movement, an umbrella body of progressive youths of the area, in a statement he personally signed, said, “God doesn’t forget His children. Barr Ossai has been our worthy son. He is a unifier, philanthropist, and community leader. He is committed member.
“He has championed the development of our entire community Ezimo and beyond. I doubt if any development could be mentioned that he has no hands in it, alongside other like-minded progressives.
“It didn’t occur to me as a surprise. Barr Ossai is very intelligent right from his secondary school days.
“We are going to ensure that all the votes are cast for the Barr Mba/Barr Ossai ticket. Their victory will be a continuation of the record-breaking government of Gov Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
“Ifeanyi is our son. During festivities and emergencies, he shields us like an umbrella. I remember how he built our hall to a befitting standard. He demolished the one we were struggling to build over the years.
“We have everything courtesy of him. We want him to add values to the administration of Gov Peter Mba when they are eventually elected. Enugu State will surely be better off.”
“He is our son. We pray that God will guide him to serve the generality of Ndi Enugu in the forthcoming government of Barr Peter Mba.
“He has empowered our youths. He gave them jobs. He trained some in skills. He is our beloved son.”
