The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Mohammed Buhari has congratulated the new president of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Archbishop Daniel Okoh on his election.
In a press statement by his Media Adviser, Femi Adesina on Friday the President observed that the election of Archbishop Okoh by the apex Christian Organization is a testament of his devotion to the church of God in Nigeria.
Mr President acknowledged the role that CAN plays in fostering religious unity and harmony.
He expressed the hope that Archbishop Okoh will continue to provide leadership for the church affirming the scriptural truth “that they all may be one”(John 17:2).
President Buhari prayed that the tenure of the new CAN President will be marked with success and urged the christian association to give their new leader the support to succeed.
Meanwhile the Vice President Prof.Yemi Osibajo and the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinibu have equally sent their Congratulatory messages to the new CAN President, Daniel Okoh.
