Muslim-Muslim Ticket Reprehensible, Unacceptable – Bishop Kukah

Outspoken Bishop of Sokoto Catholic Diocese, Most Rev Hassan Kukah, yesterday described the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) decision to field a Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Senator Kashim Shettima as reprehensible and unacceptable, saying the party failed to factor in the diversity and sensitivities of Nigerians at the moment.

Bishop Kukah spoke during an interview on Channels Politics Programme, Political Platform.

He said beyond the noise generated by the issue in the public space, the electorate ‘must be ready to interrogate all the presidential candidates so they can tell how they can go about pulling Nigeria back from the brink’.
