The All Progressives Congress is going to win the governorship seat in Enugu State in 2023 ‘to clean the rot of the PDP’.
The state publicity secretary of the party, Mr Charles Solo Ako, told our correspondent in an interview, Thursday, that the ruling Peoples Democratic Party in the state has failed, and that APC ‘is coming to put the state in the right perspectives’.
According to him, “On Sunday, we unveiled our deputy gubernatorial candidate, George Tabugbo Ogara. He is a young and intellectual young man from Unadu, a community in Igbo Eze South LGA. He has used his profession to serve the downtrodden very well.
“The APC in Enugu State has given Enugu the best guber candidate in the person of Chief Uchenna Nnaji with a reputable deputy, Mr George Ogara.”
Contrary to claims that APC has failed the people of South East, the PRO said, “South East should be happy for the APC-led government.
“It is APC that is building the 2nd Niger Bridge that is about to be completed. The Enugu-Onitsha expressway is wearing a new look, including the one of Port-Harcourt expressway, courtesy APC.
“These are projects that were used for campaign promises by the PDP government but today are being constructed by President Muhammad Buhari.
“Igbos should not make the same mistake they made in 2015 by putting their eggs in one basket. We should vote according to the capability and the chances of the candidate.
“Is it possible for a candidate to win an election without having a governor and National Assembly members? APC has 22 governors. They will all make sure that our candidate, Bola Tinubu, wins.”
