A member of a robbery syndicate that attacked and raped a hotel staffer at Ndikelionwu on 13/8/2022 in Anambra State is now in the police net, Adadainfo gathered weekend.
One Okechukwu Okpo, 24, of Ndobasi village, Ebonyi State, confessed to committing the crimes alongside his other criminal members now at large.
He was arrested by police operatives attached to Oko divisional police headquarters in the early hours of 6/9/2022, the state police public relations officer, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, stated on Sunday.
According to him, Okechukwu made a confessional statement indicating that his syndicate attack a hotel ‘where a female staff was raped and the gang also made away with three televisions and other items’, adding that ‘efforts are emplaced to arrest other fleeing gang members’.
