John Mikel Obi, Tuesday, announced his retirement from football. His career as a footballer spanned about twenty years, with many laurels to his credit.
He announced his retirement via his social media account. He is 35.
He had stints in England, China, Turkey and Saudi Arabia.
He won Champions League, Europa, Premiership, FAC Cup etc during his glorious career.
He also captained Nigeria in 2013 when the Super Eagles, under the late Stephen Keshi, led the team to win the Nations’ Cup. He also featured in the World Cup for Nigeria.
