An unidentified male adult was killed, Friday morning, in an auto crash that occurred at Ngozika junction by Awka-Onitsha expressway in Anambra State.
Two other persons involved in the accident were rescued unhurt, according to the state command of the Federal Road Safety Commission.
Margaret B Onabe, the command’s sector public education officer of FRSC, said the cause of the accident was road rules violation.
According to her, “An unidentified driver of a red/white Toyota Hiace bus with registration number BRA107XA and an unidentified driver of white Mercedes Benz Truck with registration number NSH394ZF were involved.
“The probable cause of the fatal crash was route violation. The truck driver was reversing from the road that leads to Maxbi Hotel to face one way and collided with the bus coming from Kwata.”
She said the FRSC rescue team from RS5.3 Anambra Sector Command took the victim to Regina Caeli hospital where he was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty, adding that the corpse was deposited at the hospital morgue.
