The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Friday, expressed shock over the demise of Pa Mbazulike Amaechi, an aviation minister in the First Republic.
Amaechi died three days ago at 93. He led a delegation to President Muhammadu Buhari seeking a political solution to the freedom of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Pa Amaechi had begged Buhari to release Kanu to him as his ‘last wish’.
Kanu’s reaction over the death of the late minister was contained in a tweet by Barr Aloy Ejimakor, Kanu’s special counsel.
Quoting Barr Ejimakor, “I just exited from seeing Onyendu #MNK. He’s pained by the passing of Pa Mbazulike Amaechi.
“He recalled how close they were and the many fraternal interactions between them in times past. He called him a ‘great man’, and sent his heartfelt condolences to his family.”
