Comfort Ifunanya Chukwugbo, 23, a native of Inyi in Oji-River Local Government Area of Enugu State, who was found at Obe, and brought to Ozalla Police Station in Nkanu West LGA of Enugu Station, has reunited with her family.
Recall that the Enugu State Police Command, Monday, announced the finding of the young lady with some mentally disorder signs.
DSP Daniel Ndukwe, the police public relations officer of the Enugu State Police Command, stated that the mother of the lady reunited with her on Tuesday, 24th January 2023 at about 4pm.
According to him, “The highly excited and appreciative mother, who is a widow, gave the name of the found girl as Comfort Ifunanya Chukwugbo, aged 23, a native of Inyi in Oji-River Local Government Area.
“She stated that Comfort left a prayer house in the same Inyi community, where she was taken to for prayers, on 31st December 2022, following her state of mental imbalance.
“That all efforts made to locate her proved abortive, until she was notified about the Found Girl press release and pictures of her daughter circulated via different media platforms.”
The mother said Comfort, a student of Abia State University Uturu (ABSU), ‘started suffering from mental imbalance in 2020 after she attended and came back from a wedding ceremony in Abuja’.
“The mother applauds the Good Samaritan that found and brought her to the police station, pressmen and public-spirited individuals who used their various media platforms to widely circulate the Found Girl press release and those who identified and escalated the information to her mother,” the statement added.
The state command thanked people who contributed in making the finding and reunion of Comfort with her mother and family members possible.
