As Anambra State celebrates thirty-two years of its creation today, the state commissioner of police, CP Aderemi Adeoye, has reiterated the commitment of the force towards making the state conducive for inhabitants.

While congratulating Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo and the good people of Anambra State on the anniversary, CP Adeoye noted that ‘despite herculean challenges, the state has fared well in the comity of states in the country’.

DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, the state police public relations officer, in a release, said, “CP Adeoye commended the citizens for being peace-loving and law-abiding. He urged them to continue to uphold their reputation as hard-working and industrious people.”

Ikenga stated that CP Adeoye was posted to Anambra State ‘as a young officer same year the state was created’, adding that he ‘served for ten years in different parts of the state in the nineties’.

According to him, “CP Adeoye pledged that the police will continue to work with other security agencies and stakeholders to improve the security situation of the state until normalcy is fully restored.”
