One Rolland Ugwuja, presiding officer of a polling unit at Igogoro, Igboeze North LGA, was Saturday nabbed with already written election results even before the commencement of the polls.
Ugwuja, in a video, admitted being from Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area of the state. He also alleged that the results sheets were given to him by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
Igboeze North is the local government area of the candidate of the Labour Party, Hon Dennis Agbo; that of the Peoples Democratic Party, Mr Simon Atigwe, and All Progressives Congress’s candidate, Dr Oby Aji.
The rerun followed the nullification of the election of Agbo who won the election on the grounds that the logo of APC in the results sheets was omitted. The affected polling units are 166 polling units.
