The Anambra State commissioner of police, CP Nnaghe Obono Itam, Wednesday, tasked police operatives in the state to be on the offensive against armed hoodlums.
He stated this during the commencement of training and retraining of personnel of the command on tackling insecurity. The exercise is to enhance the operatives’ offensive capacity against hoodlums.
The CP led them in operational efficiency, acquiring more skills in crime prevention strategies, and building courage and confidence in confronting armed hoodlums and responding to distress calls. The training also included shooting range training where he assessed the schedule of the ongoing training. He reiterated the command’s commitment to improving public safety and enforcing law and order in the state.
The CP warned those who were misled to take to crimes to retrace their steps as the police and other security agencies would not allow some disgruntled elements to make life unbearable for the residents of the State.
