Former governor of Anambra State, Dr Chris Ngige, has been arrested by the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related Offences Commission (ICPC) in connection with the ongoing investigation into the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF).
It was gathered that Ngige presented himself for interrogation on Wednesday night amidst allegations of misappropriating N48 billion during his tenure as minister.
He has not returned home since then and is believed to be in the anti-graft agency detention.
Ngige is a former Minister of Labour under the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
