A man identified as Iyke Sunny, Sunday, donated a campaign office and a Sienna jeep for the actualization of the presidential bid of Mr Peter Obi, the candidate of the Labour Party, and Hon Chijioke Edeoga, Labour Party’s governorship candidate in Enugu State.
The donor, according to a Facebook post by Shepherdman Chijioke Iyioku, said the gesture was his contributions towards the victory of the duo.
Quoting him, “With every sense of humility, I hereby humbly donate a campaign office free of charge for the Labour Party. The match of Peter obi and Chijioke Jonathan Edeoga is an interesting and good move for the people of Enugu State in particular and Nigeria in general.
“We all desire a change. I humbly donate a property that is at a strategic position for the party’s campaign office opposite ESUT gate and a 2013 executive Toyota Sienna jeep to be branded with Peter Obi’s picture and Honourable Chijioke Jonathan Edeoga’s picture with immediate effects.
“I no dey collect shishi. This is the right step on the right direction. Ndi Enugu, liberation has come. Oya here we move.”
Edeoga emerged the governorship standard-bearer of the Labour Party in Enugu State last Saturday. He is the immediate past commissioner for environment in the state. He resigned to contest the governorship primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party. The contest was won by Barr Peter Mba.
Edeoga was a one-time chairman of Isi-Uzo LGA, member of House of Representatives, legislative assistant to former president Goodluck Jonathan, and former commissioner for local government matters.
