The Chartered Institute of Educational Practitioners United Kingdom (CIEPUK), weekend, called on local government chairmen in Anambra State to nominate ten eligible students from each ward to benefit from its Scholarship Educational Empowerment Programme.

CIEPUK’s Global President Prof Marcel Ezenwoye told newsmen in Awka that the initiative, which is in partnership with institutions, such as Paul University, Tansian University and Havilla University, “provides 50% scholarships to students who have met JAMB requirements but face financial constraints”.

He said, “The programme offers both remedial education (JUPEP/IJMB) and skills acquisition opportunities to combat illiteracy and poverty across the Southeast.

“Local governments are encouraged to cover the remaining 50% of the costs as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).”

He said academic activities would start on November 10, 2024, and urged inquirers to visit www.ciepuk.org.uk or call 08069030670 for details.
