FRSC Rescues Accident Victims, Recovers Over N2m In Nasarawa

A number of accident victims were rescued while two persons lost their lives in a motor accident that occurred on the Lafia-Makurdi route in Nasarawa State on Sunday

Also, a sum of ₦2,565,850 was recovered from the scene of the accident by the rescue team of the Nasarawa Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).

The recovery followed a swift response from the team in the crash that involved a white commercial Peugeot Boxer, with reg number AKW169XM, which lost control due to excessive speeding.

It was gathered that the FRSC rescue team, led by DRC AT Uza, arrived at the scene within 15 minutes for the rescue.

According to the acting sector commander of the corps, DCC Jo Bebia, “The rescue team recovered a substantial amount of cash, totalling ₦2,565,850, which was handed over to the company manager of EROKA DEPAACOS in Akwanga.”

DCC Jo Bebia commended the FRSC rescue team for their prompt response, which contributed to the survival of some of the crash victims. He also appealed to the public to avoid excessive speeding and observe traffic regulations to prevent future occurrences.
