Breaking: Police Rescue Two As Fire Guts UBA Branch In Anambra

Two persons were Friday rescued by policemen attached to the Anambra State Police Command.

This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Anambra State police public relations officer, DSP Ikenna Tochukwu.

He said the incident took place at the United Bank for Africa (UBA) branch, located opposite Ejison plaza, main Market, Onitsha.

The fire emanated from a generator inside the bank, he said, adding that the incident made ‘customers scamper for saftey and in the process some of the windows and doors were broken’.

The PPRO said the fire had been put off, and the situation was being monitored.
