Farmers in Ugwuogo and Ibagwa communities are suffering low rainfall which they have experienced in the last two months.
Sylvanus Ugwuogbodo told Adadareporters that their crops are being threatened by low rainfall. He said this is July and we can count the number of times rain has fallen.
Similarly Madam Angelina Eke in Akpoga Nike complained of the same thing saying that the rains are needed by her crops to do well.
Usually in accordance with rainfall pattern July used to witness heavy rains but this year has been different.
This may not be unconnected with climate change which scientists have been warning of.
When contacted Mr. Alex Chike who is a big farmer of vegetables, potagto, yam and cassava agrees with the experience of other farmers noting that he too was badly affected by the low rainfall.
