The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), weekend, declared Senator Orji Uzor Kalu a ‘persona non grata’ in Igbo land.
Emma Powerful, IPOB’s spokesman, made the declaration in a statement. He quoted Kalu allegedly threatening ‘to flush out innocent citizens of Biafra and precisely the good people of ESN operatives in the bushes and forests protecting our farmlands’.
He claimed that Kalu held a secret meeting with some people and soldiers on August 24 in Asaga Ohafia, where they celebrated the killing of IPOB members.
According to Powerful, Kalu, a former governor of Abia State, and his meeting colleagues ‘agreed to deal with anybody suspected to be member or sympathiser of IPOB or Biafra agitation’.
Quoting him, “They wrote down and submitted 25-names of young men to be abducted as IPOB members to Nigeria military for possible execution’.
Powerful gave names of members of the All Progressives Congress who attended the meeting as Mr Ibe Okpo (The Ring Leader), Hon Anya Okorie (Councilor Ohafor Ward 1), Chief Michael Nmecha (Former Eze-Ogo of Asaga), Awa Kalu Awa (Ndị Nkwoma Asaga), Abuja Uche Imo, Aso Oburu, Roland Onwuka, Nmong Agwu, Awa Nna Lord, Uma Okereke (Asaga Youth Leader), and Biggie.
According to Powerful, “Kalu and some of his APC members are agents paid to maim and destroy our people, especially the IPOB family members in Abia North.
“For colluding with the military to illegally arrest and kill our people, we are declaring Alhaji Orji Uzor Kalu and the above listed traitors as persona non grata in the Eastern Region.
“Anywhere they are seen should be treated as enemies. They are Fulanis in Igbo skin.
“Anywhere Orji Uzor is seen doing campaign rally in Biafra land, he should be brought to justice.
“Orji Uzor Kalu should not be allowed to have any political rallies in our territory any longer because he is murdering our people, especially the youths in Ohafia Abia State and he will be held to account for their death.
“The above-named traitors should be held accountable for any harm on IPOB family members in Ohafia, Bende and the whole of Abia North Senatorial Zone.”
