100 Days Of Hon Livinus Nze Anike In Enugu East LGA
Hon Livinus Nze Anike’s stewardship as chairman of Enugu East LGA has been impressive. Despite daunting challenges in the local government administration across the federation, Hon Anike has toed the line of his master, Gov Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, in ensuring that democratic dividends are made available to his people.
Recall that he, alongside sixteen other council chairmen in the state, was sworn in on Thursday, 3rd March 2022.
Some of the ongoing projects he inspected on 10th June, 2022 to mark his administration’s 100 days in office are the Ibagwa-Edem asphalt road with drainage facilities; a borehole project at Edem Nike tagged ‘Oji Chukwu ji ihee Community Development Programme’; Nkwo Nike mini-stadium; installation of solar-powered lights at Enugu East council secretariat, and installation of overhead tanks at the council secretariat.
Aside these, the Anike administration refurbished offices at the council’s secretariat, paid leave-allowances to employees, appointed some aides and inaugurated neighbourhood watch groups at Timber Market and New Home Phase II.
During the inspection, the council chairman assured that he would extend democratic dividends to all nooks and crannies of the area to drive home his rural development initiatives.
Some of the residents expressed happiness for a new dawn in Enugu East LGA. In his speech, the deputy chairman of the council, Hon Gab Onu, commended the council chairman for his good governance and people-oriented leadership.
