Ex-Super Eagles captain Austin ‘Jay Jay’ Okocha says the semi-final encounter between France and Morocco will be a cracker.
The game comes up Wednesday in the ongoing 2022 Fifa World Cup in Qatar. The venue is the Al Bayt Stadium.
Recall that the Atlas Lions bundled out Spain and Portugal in the knock-out phase, making them the first African and Arabian side to achieve the feat.
Okocha, speaking ahead of the game, said, “It’s a massive game, with a lot at stake for both sides. The French are another tough opponents, so it’s going to be difficult for both sides.”
France are hoping to become the first country to win back to back World Cup titles since Italy (1938 & 1938) and Brazil (1958 & 1962).
France won the 2018 edition in Russia, beating Croatia 4-2 in the final.
