Disclaimer: Message Linking CIEPUK To FG, FOI N3m Investment Promo Scam – Prof Ezenwoye

By Adadareporters

The promo in the social media alleging that the federal government, Bank of Industry and partners have approved N3m credit as investment for a certain business has no links with the Chartered Institute of Educational Practitioners United Kingdom, CIEPUK.

The promoters of the messages claim that investors in the deal would get alerts within three days after the orientation, signing and agreement at Educators’ House, CIEPUK, Gwarimpa, Abuja.

The promoters also demanded their supposed clients to pay the sum of N25,000 at CIEPUK for consultation.

The president of CIEPUK, Amb Prof Marcel Ezenwoye, weekend, said that the business being promoted has not links with CIEPUK.

He said, “Our organisation has no hands in such ignoble dealings. The scammer used our address aimed to tarnish our long built reputation, both local and international.

“We have received calls and visits to clarify the development. We have distanced ourselves from the promo.

“Anybody or groups doing businesses with the promoters of the business are doing so at their own risk.

“We are initiating a legal action on the subject aimed at bringing the perpetrators to justice.”

He said the owner of the phone number used in disseminating the ‘fake and false information associated CIEPUK has no such mandate’, and ‘anybody who falls prey does that at his or her own risk’.

Our correspondent reports that the Chartered Institute of Educational Practitioner UK is a leading professional body registered and accredited in the United Kingdom and Nigeria with the aim of responding to the ensuing paradigm shift in the quality of education both in skilled and unskilled levels globally.
