Ebonyi governor Francis Nwifuru has approved the building of a befitting duplex for the sixty-five traditional rulers in the state.
This was disclosed by the state commissioner for information and orientation, Mr Jude Okpor, after the State Executive Council meeting on Wednesday.
Okpor said the duplex for the traditional rulers was to fulfill the campaign promises made to them.
According to him, “The Ebonyi State Executive Council approved the construction of a befitting duplex for each of the traditional rulers presently holding sway in their respective communities across the state in fulfillment of the campaign promise of our governor, His Excellency, Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru.”
The Exco also approved the procurement and distribution of 13, 000 bags of fertilizers to farmers across the state.
Okpor said, “The Executive Council received a report on the commencement of fertilizer production by the Ebonyi State Fertilizer and Chemical Company in accordance with the directive of the last Exco meeting and consequently approved the procurement and distribution of 13,000 bags of fertilizers to farmers across the state.”
Okpor further revealed that the Exco has also approved the purchase of vehicles for Executive Council members, House of Assembly members, and security agencies.
