Senator Okey Ezea representing Enugu North senatorial district, Tuesday, said scammers are using a Facebook account purportedly owned by him to mislead unsuspecting people.
Senator Ezea stated this through his media office. He denied operating any Facebook account, and warned the public against dealing with any such account claiming to belong to him.
According to the release, “The attention of Senator Okey Ezea Media Office has been drawn to the malicious activities of fraudsters using the pictures of Sen Ezea and fake Facebook handles to misrepresent the distinguished senator, mislead and scam the general public.
“This is to clarify and as well notify the entire public, specifically the good people of Enugu North senatorial district that Senator Okey Ezea is not on Facebook and should he decide to use Facebook in the future, it will be with a verified account.”
The statement submitted that ‘whoever is chatting anyone on Facebook in the name of Senator Okey Ezea is a scammer and shouldn’t be given attention.”
