Abenomics: The Man Shinzo Abe

The former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was shot earlier on Friday 8th July, 2022 in Nara, Japan, while delivering a speech in a campaign. He was 67.

His assassin used a locally made gun.
He died as a result in Japanese Medical University where he was rushed in a helicopter.

Shinzo Abe was the longest Japanese prime minister to lead Japan in history. He was the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party through which he served first from 2006-2007 and 2012 -2020.

World leaders have been sending their condolences to the Japanese government and people.

“I am shocked and saddened..”

The late prime minister will be remembered for his economic policies named after him as ABENOMICS.

The policies were implemented by his government. The goal of the policies includes increase demand and
achieve an inflation target of 2%; increase competition, expand trade and raise the rate of employment.

These were implemented using the tools of aggressive monetary policy, fiscal consolidation and growth strategy.

Shinzo Abe was born on 21st September,1954 in Shinjuku, City, Tokyo, Japan and obtained a BA from Seikei University.

He is survived by his wife, Akie.
