Peter Obi Disclaims App Campaigning For His Candidature

By Adadareporters

Mr Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Tuesday, said he is not a part of an App created by an alleged support group claiming to be rooting for his election in 2023.

The group’s App had been viral, urging people to join and make contributions towards Obi’s victory. The App is named ‘Peter Obi Nation’.

Obi made his position known while featuring on a radio programme in Enugu.

He said, “I don’t know about the application. It is not from me or any campaign organization known to us. You know people can do everything thing to pull me down.”

He alleged that his political opponents were sponsoring ethnic and religious-based campaigns against his presidential ambition.

According to him, “I have said this before: let us bring all the presidential candidates, about eighteen of us, let us look at our backgrounds and past records.

“But people are not talking about what we can offer, and they are now promoting ethnicity and tribalism.”

The LP presidential candidate advised Nigerians to go beyond ethnic and religious biases and go for credible candidates to rescue the country from its present leadership quagmire.
