Adubi Decries Poor State Of Ogun Public Schools

By Nura Ismail

The CEO of Hawlaab Media Training and Research Centre (HMTRC), Abdulwaheed Olayinka Adubi, Wednesday, urged the Ogun State government to address the lack of infrastructure in some schools in the state.

The media expert made the call in a statement entitled: “Ogun Public Schools In Shambles”.

Adubi said it is pitiful that in the 21st century, there are still records of students of Senior Secondary School (KSSS) writing promotional examinations on bare floors of classrooms.

According to the statement, “It is very painful, pitiful and unacceptable that any public school within Ogun State would remain in a condition that the students would have no option than to write promotional examinations on bare floors of classrooms. This is degrading to Ogun State and her citizens.

“Ogun State was not known for this in the past. Education is Ogun’s pride. Ogun State always set pace and that should be sustained.”

He commended the commitment of KSSS Alumni Association for keeping the public abreast of the conditions of schools in the state.

Adubi therefore advised the state government to look into the poor conditions of public schools in the state.
