Obi-Tuary In Touch’: Omatseye Belongs To League Of Hate – Ohanaeze

By Ben Sylvester

Ohanaeze Youth Council, Wednesday, classified Mr Sam Omatseye, the columnist whose caricature title on Mr Peter Obi is trending, as belonging to the leagues of ‘political profiteers and oppressors’, as well as ‘bread and butter writers’.

Igboayaka O. Igboayaka, the president of the group, said Omatseye’s title, ‘Obi-Tuary In Touch’, is a sign of the ongoing ‘Obi-phobia’ ravaging the country.

Obi is the presisential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 presisential election.

Igboayaka said, “There’s a clear distinction between when a write-up came from abode of intellectualism targeted at solutionism than when a write-up is stimulated by the spirit of ‘Hate & Envy’.

“Sam Omatseye was captured by the demon of hate and envy. The intention of Sam Omatseye is to bewitch Mr Peter Obi’s 2023 presidential project.

“I see the acceleration of his hateful and envious mind towards Mr Peter Obi growing into a heavy witchcraft.

“Sam Omatseye’s write-up is a product of an envious mind and hate on the rapid popularity and acceptability of Mr Peter Obi.

“Sam Omatseye comparing IPOB’s activities with Mr Obi’s presidential project is outright poor notion. It lacks sense of logic and reality.”

He further told Sam Omatseye that the present generation and future generations of Nigeria ‘will be disappointed in you that all your target was to blackmail Mr Peter Obi’s presidential project with IPOB’.

According to him, “If you’re a genuine, reasonable and sincere Nigerian writer, you could have taken us back to history line to x-ray what led to recent agitation of Biafra from Raph Uwazuruike (MASSOB) and Nnamdi Kanu (IPOB).”

On agitation for Biafra and links to Obi as portayed by Omatseye, Igboayaka said, “The recent agitation for Biafra by MASSOB and IPOB was a result of the inability of the federal government led by Gen Yakubu Gowon to implement the 3Rs (Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Reconciliation) policy that was introduced after the end of the Nigeria civil war.”

The Ohanaeze youth leader said contrary to the intention of Mr Omatseye to malign Obi, he rather boosted his image.

He said, “Your article promotes OBIdient Movement as a social magnate with such a magnetic power to bring back BIAFRA agitators and Oduduwa agitators into the mainstream of Nigeria’s politics, with hope of a new Nigeria of justice, fairness and equity.

“Your attempt to paint Obi’s presidential project as regional or tribal agenda is an old idea that has kept an average Nigerian into political servitude.

“OBIdient movement is a national movement and the force behind it is the over one hundred millions Nigerians living in abject poverty.”
