Dino Melaye, a former senator, Federal Republic of Nigeria, and Femi Fani-Kayode, a former aviation minister, have been berated for cheapening their reputations publicly in their bids to ‘appease their paymasters’.
The duo a few days ago had been throwing accusations against each other in a manner some Nigerians liken to drama. Dino recently accused Kayode, a lawyer, of ‘political scavenging’. Kayode too posted Dino drinking gari, creating the image of Dino’s poor beginning. He also called Dino ‘a parasite’.
A youth, FS Yusuf, via his Twitter handle, bemoaned how such high-placed Nigerians should engage in such outbursts, disregarding their ought-to-be reputation.
Yusuf wrote, “Dino was a former senator, FFK was a former minister. In a sane society, these are the people who should be running for president today.
“Unfortunately, they fall under the category of oppressed Nigerians who have to ridicule themselves publicly to appease their paymasters.”
Dino is of the Peoples Democratic Party while Kayode is All Progressives Congress.
