The vice-presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Dr Datti Baba-Ahmed, says minister of labour and employment (state) Festus Keyamo is running out of ideas.
Dr Ahmed was reacting to Keyamo’s claim that Mr Peter Obi, LP’s presidential candidate, is planning to fake his assassination.
Dr Ahmed tweeted, “Keyamo said Peter Obi is planning to fake his assassination. He’s indeed running out of ideas. People lie to the extent they will start believing their own lies.”
Recalled that Keyamo, who is also the spokesman of the All Progressives Congress Campaign Council, had in a statement on Monday alleged that Obi planned to fake his own assassination attempt with hired supporters dressed in the APC caps and T-shirts.
According to Keyamo, “We are aware that plans are afoot by Mr Peter Obi to fake an assassination attempt on himself and hire Labour Party boys dressed in the APC caps and T-shirts to attack some Labour Party offices. It is all part of the ‘US Plan’. It is the first in a series of incendiary actions planned by this ill-prepared but desperate candidate.”
Meanwhile, a commentator on national issues, Anthony Ogbunuko, has berated Keyamo for his statement on Obi.
He said, “Indeed he (Keyamo) has run out of ideas. Imagine what politics had made a SAN to become. Not even a solution to the lingering ASUU strike.”
