Sustain Her Legacies, Kanu Tells Akeredolu Over Mum’s Death

The chief whip of the Senate, Dr Orji Uzor Kalu, Thursday, urged Gov Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondi State to keep the spirit of his late mother alive by living her legacies.

  1. Evangelist Grace Akeredolu, the governor’s mother, was announced dead today. She was 90.

Kalu, former governor of Abia State, in his condolence to the Akeredolu family, described the deceased as ‘a devoted Christian who committed her resources to the service of God and mankind’.

He said, “I convey my heartfelt condolences to Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State over the demise of his mother, Evangelist Grace Akeredolu.

“Mama was a devoted Christian who committed her resources to the service of God and mankind.

“Judging from the personality of Governor Akeredolu, it is obvious that her mother was a woman of virtue. I urge the governor to sustain the worthy legacies of his mother.”
