Peter Obi to Davido: ‘My Prayers With Your Family’

Mr Peter Obi, Tuesday afternoon, sent his condolences to music giant Davido.

Davido’s son, Ifeanyi, drowned in a swimming pool at their residence at the Banana Island area of Lagos State.

Ifeanyi, Adadainfo learnt, was born in 2019. He was said to have been spotted down the pool water when he was exhausted.

He was taken to a hospital at Lekki, Lagos, where medical personnel could not revive him. His death occurred a few days after he celebrated his third birthday.

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, sent his condolences via his Twitter handle.

Obi, former Anambra governor, wrote, “I send my sincere condolences to Davido and Chioma over the death of their son Ifeanyi. I cannot begin to imagine the pains they are going through at the moment.

“May God grant them healing, strength and comfort in this trying time. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.-PO.”
