Imo State Varsity Vice Chancellor Fired

Patrick Egbule, the vice-chancellor of Imo State University of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences (UAES), has been fired.

The secretary to the Imo State Government (SSG), Cosmas Iwu, announced this in a release on Wednesday.

The fired VC is a professor of agricultural and workforce education. He has been replaced by Christopher Eze as acting vice-chancellor of the institution, the statement read.

It stated that, “The governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has approved the immediate removal of Prof Patrick Egbule as the acting vice chancellor of Imo State University of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, Umuagwo.

“Consequently, by the law establishing the university, His Excellency has approved the immediate appointment of Prof Christopher Chiedozie Eze as the acting vice-chancellor of the university.”
