Trafficked Kids Rescued In Anambra, Suspects Nabbed

Three kids, aged between three and eight, suspected to have been stolen from Abia, Akwa-Ibom and Rivers states have been rescued in Anambra State.

The state police command, in a release by its public relations officer, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, called on the public who could identify the kids to do the needful to enable their reunion with their family members.

DSP Ikenga said the suspected traffickers had been arrested while investigations were ongoing.

He gave the names of the kids as David Frang, ‘m’, 8; Sarah Frang, ‘f’, 3, and Chibuchi Sunday, ‘m’ 7.

Quoting him, “The command calls on the public, especially residents of Abia, Akwa-Ibom and Rivers State, to help us identify these children for a possible reunion with their parents.

“They were were recovered from individual suspects who are already in custody.

“Given the confessions of the suspects, the children were taken away from their parents in the respective states mentioned above and brought to Anambra State.

“Therefore, anyone who knows the parents of these children should inform them to come to Anambra State Police Command with proof, while the police command shall do the necessary checks before handing them over.
