NigeriaDecides: Peter Obi Beats Atiku, Tinubu In Enugu

The Labour Party has won the presidential election conducted across the 17 local government areas of Enugu State. The election held on February 25 2023 in Enugu.

LP’s presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, scored 428,640 to come first. Atiku Abubakar of Peoples Democratic Party got 15,749 and Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress secured 4, 772. The fifth position went to the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, who scored 1,808.

The collation officer in the state and vice chancellor, Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Professor Maduebibisi Iwe, announced the results on Monday.

According to him, a number of 2,112,793 voters were registered, while the accredited voters were 482,990.

Iwe said the valid votes were 456,424, rejected votes, 12,467, while votes cast were 468,891.
