BREAKING: EFCC Interrogates Ex-Benue Gov Ortom Over Fund Misappropriation

The immediate past governor of Benue State, Dr Samuel Ortom, is presently being interrogated at the Makurdi office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

Our correspondent learnt that Ortom arrived at the office of the EFCC in Makurdi, located at Alor Gordon Street, at 10am. He is being questioned over alleged financial misappropriation during his tenure as an official.

A source told PUNCH that, “Former governor Ortom is currently at our Makurdi zonal office in Benue State. He arrived at about 10 a.m. this morning, and he’s still there now. He was invited over an ongoing investigation concerning alleged misappropriation of funds during his time in office.”
