Paul University, Awka, Partners CIEPUK To Award Scholarship To Outstanding JAMB/UTME Students

The management of Paul University, Awka, in partnership with Chartered Institute of Educational Practitioners, United Kingdom (CIEPUK) has approved the award of scholarship to outstanding students in the just concluded 2023 JAMB/UTME examinations.

A statement by Prof. Obiora Nwosu, the vice chancellor of the university on Thursday, said the gesture by the management and CIEPUK was a way of rewarding excellence and encouraging hardworking students in Anambra State.

“We received the exciting news of your outstanding performance in the last JAMB/UTME examinations
with great joy.

“By your outstanding performance, you have become the role model and a reference point for the
Nigerian youths.

“To demonstrate to the youths that hard work pays and to encourage you people to continue to be
ambassadors of greatness, the management of the university in partnership with CIEPUK has approved 100 percent scholarship for the 10 outstanding students.

“The list include; Miss Umeh Kamsiyochukwu Nkechinyere, Aguele Stephen Oseruha, Ositade Anthony Oluwafemi and all of you who are the best 10 students in the last 2023
JAMB/UTME examinations and who are ready to study in this University,” he said.

Prof. Nwosu was also quoted as saying that the scholarship covers the student’s
tuition, hostel and other fees throughout their four-year period in which they are expected to study in the University.

He added that other students with lower scores would also enjoy 50 percent scholarship in the university, courtesy of
CIEPUK, provided they apply
between now and Aug. 30.

“We heartily congratulate all of you, the high fliers and Nigeria’s first eleven in the nearest future. Welcome to Paul University, Awka, an institution for the eagles,” he said.

Prof. Marcel Ezenwoye, the national president of CIEPUK in Nigeria, was also quoted as saying that the National Association of Private School Proprietors’ (NAPSP) was encouraged to participate in the scholarship programme.

He said this was in recognition of the invaluable role that NAPSP plays in moulding the future of these youths.

“We therefore cordially invite all school owners/principals to partner with us in giving them quality higher education and a secured future devoid of strike, cultism, gangsterism and other forms of vices that characterise our educational institutions today.

“Paul University in partnership with CIEPUK, hereby offers 20 students each registered NAPSP members our 50 percent scholarship to all the incoming students in the 2023/2024 academic session.
