Hoodlums Set Anambra Reps Member’s House Ablaze

The house belonging to Hon Paschal Agbodike representing Ihiala Federal Constituency of Anambra State in the House of Representatives has been set ablaze by hoodlums.

The attackers attacked his house, located at Ubahi-Mbosi in Ihiala Local Government Area at about 1am on Tuesday, our correspondent gathered.

According to an eye witness, the attackers shot sporadically before burning the house, consisting of five-bedroom duplex with four living rooms and a kitchen, on fire. It was however learnt that no life was lost.

Meanwhile, the state police public relations officer, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, has confirmed the incident.

He said, “The area has been condoned and security operatives have been deployed in the area. There are ongoing surveillance efforts by the operatives.”

Agbodike is a former deputy speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly.
