Rena was born in North Carolina to parents who are from Rivers state, Nigeria.
She led the Nigerian team to win the women’s Afrobasket championship by defeating Senegal 84-74 in the championship game last weekend.
She also made history as the first female coach to win the competition since it began in 1966.
