Super Falcons and FC Barcelona ladies’ forward, Asisat Oshoala, was Thursday crowned 2022 CAF women’s ‘Player of the Year.’
Oshoala, 27, was declared the winner ear-old was announced the winner in Rabat, Morrocco.
The latest is her fifth time of winning the award, hence outwitting Perpetua Nkwocha, former Falcons striker.
Oshoala won the coveted crown in 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2019.
In the men’s aspect, Sadio Mane defeated Mohamed Salah and Eduard Mendy to clinch the crown.
The men’s ‘Young Player of the Year’ was won by Pape Matar Sarr of Senegal and Tottenham Hotspur while Ghana’s Evelyn Badu won the women’s category.
