Terror Alert: Nigeria Police Release Hotlines

The Nigeria Police, Thursday, released telephone hotlines which Nigerians should call in terror emergencies.

IGP Usman Baba disclosed this in a statement issued by force spokesman Olumuyiwa Adejobi, which was made available to newsmen in Abuja.

The proactive numbers, according to the IGP, are to avert and respond to possible terror attacks in the country. He said the NPF were working with other sister agencies to ensure security of lives and property in the country.

According to him, there are presently no impending dangers in the country. This is contrary to a statement by the United States about imminent terror attacks in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

According to the Force PRO, “Residents within the FCT are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious or abnormal occurrence and persons to the police through the following emergency lines: 08032003913, 08061581938, 07057337653, and 08028940883.”

The IGP reiterated the commitment of the Nigeria Police to tackling all threats, as well as protection of lives and property of all residents across the federarion.
