Enugu Guber: Bar Owners Demand Security, Declare Support For Peter Mba

By Adadainfo

The Enugu State Bar Owners Association, weekend, declared support for the governorship ambition of Mr Peter Mba, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state come 2023.

The association also demanded adequate security and enablement for a database to capture all members of the association located in all nooks and crannies of the state.

Hillary Onah, president of the association, stated this in an interview with Adadareporters.com in the aftermath of the visit of the Pinnacle Movement to the bar owners at the National Museum, Enugu, last week.

Onah said, “We demand adequate security in the state. We also seek the help of Mr Mba in creating a comprehensive database to capture all operators of bars, restaurants and hotels in the state for easy location by visitors.

“We believe that Enugu, under Peter Mba, will sustain its current status of being the most hospitable state in the South East in term of security, ease of doing business, and comfort. This feat was started and sustained by Gov Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.

“Again, we want the Mba administration, projectively, to look into multiple taxations on business owners, especially small-scale ones, in the state to enable small businesses to survive.”

According to Onah, “It was a moment of joy when the Pinnacle Movement, led by its national secretary, Amb John Ikemefuna, visited the Enugu State Bar Owners Association to solicit our support for Mr Mba and all other PDP candidates in the forthcoming elections.”

Our correspodent reports that the association pledged their support for Mba, adding that it would sensitise its members to vote for the Peter Mba-Ifeanyi Ossai ticket as well as other candidates of the PDP during the 2023 general elections.
