Negritude writer Dilibe Onyeama is dead. The Enugu-born versatile author died at the age of 71, his son Dilibe jnr wrote on Friday.

According to the son, “Even though we were far apart, I have never stopped loving you; never stopped thinking about you. I’ve learned a lot from your life, your love, and your motivational words. Until we meet in the resurrection morning sweet daddy.

“Go with God. This isn’t goodbye.”

The late Onyeama’s works mostly champion the superiority of the black race in the face of racial subjugation overseas. Some of his peculiar works include Sex is a Nigger’s Game, and Nigger At Eton.

He was the first black boy to be admitted to the British school in the 60s. His memoir of his experience at the school led to his expulsion by the then-headmaster, Michael McCrum. However, the school authorities apologised to him in 2020 for the discrimination meted to him far back in 60s.
